I apparently like game trailers with interesting music choices, like in my first post like this. This is an old one, but now, after starting watching House, I remembered this one. If you know the show, you’ll probably know why.
Do you like this one? What trailers stick with you?
Unless this guy starts producing more of these, I’ve now posted them all. Regan said last night that she wished she knew more people that appreciated them, so she could share them, and I agree. I don’t know exactly who appreciates these versus who doesn’t, but if you like them, please leave a comment and let me know.
My favorite is still the A-Ha one, but that might be just because it’s the first one I watched.
My brother, Canyon, will be in CHESS tonight at North High School in Evansville. I’m going and can’t wait to see him. My buddy, Chris Tyner, is directing, and from everything I’ve seen so far, it looks like it will be quite a show. Here’s a trailer that’s bouncing around the internet now.
I like them. Epic has done a great job with their Gears of War ads. I was showing Angie last night and she liked them, too. I took that as a sign that they were a little more than an average gameplay trailer, especially since Gears is NOT her type of game. The first one, with Gary Jules remake of the Tears for Fears song, “Mad World”:
And then for Gears of War 2, they used DeVotchKa’s “How It Ends”:
Do you like these? Would you buy a game, or look INTO buying a game, after seeing an ad like these?
I’ve really started to like more and more of Jonathan Coulton’s work as I listen to more. In his "Thing a Week" project, one of his songs became a video production when he said he learned he could use Flickr images with no sort of legal ramifications.
