James Brown Celebrity Hot Tub

March 4th, 2010

This is one of my favorite SNL clips ever.  I wasn’t even old enough to watch the show when this came out, but seeing it as a teenager, I wish ALL SNL skits were as random and funny as this.

We Can Rebuild Him…

Katie, Lewis & Seth on Derby City Film Chat

March 2nd, 2010

I’ll be on a podcast tonight, talking about “victimEYES”.  It’s been a while since that’s come up, so it’ll be fun to re-visit the stories and fun we had shooting it.  Not that it will be too nostalgic… I’ve been seeing several of the people around during that movie recently, since we’re involved in “Silence of the Belle” now.

I’ve embedded the widget here so you can listen in live, or listen to the recording.  Right now, it’s the previous week’s show, but I’m assuming once the new one goes live tonight around 8:00pm, it’ll be here.

Wish us luck!

Weekend at Bernie’s Remake… or ‘Tim Burton Must Be Stopped’

February 26th, 2010

Alright, this isn’t even really a Tim Burton movie, but it IS a very plausible scenario.  Casting his wife and Johnny Depp, taking an un-creepy story, and freaking out with it.

After showing my mother several of my silly pictures on my computer, I thought it might be funny to also share them with my blog reader(s).  Here’s today’s entry:

“The Co-op Mode”

January 20th, 2010

Watching ActionCorp TV wither and die on the vine was depressing.  Chris, Sean and I have pipe dreamed a resurrection, with various combinations of us involved at different times, but scheduling always made it too tough.  (I’m looking at you, Icy)

However, at some point a few months ago, over a few lunches, (thank you, Mandarin House) Chris and I discussed how much we prefer co-operative gaming over most deathmatch stuff.  Now, to be fair, I personally like both, but Chris is more of an e-Pacifist, so when he and I play, it generally is one where we work together, not against one another.

So, with the help of an HD video recorder, Skype for iPhone, and Chris’ editing skills, we created “The Co-op Mode”, a webcast specifically to highlight co-op play in our favorite games.  It’s not a review show, it’s just showing off gameplay and how we interact.  It’s closer to a ‘slice of life’ for the game’s multiplayer features.

You can watch all our episodes at:  www.thecoopmode.com

I’ve attached our most recent show below.

Are there games you’d like to see?  Any constructive critique?  Please leave a comment for me!

New Year, Same Old Blog Issues

January 4th, 2010

ve1I still don’t have that much interesting stuff to write.

I’m posting a link to an interview done with Lewis and Theresa by RogueCinema.com.  They were asked about the movie “victimEYES”.  There’s some stuff in there even I hadn’t heard before, so I thought it was a good read.  RogueCinema is also the group that wrote that review of “victimEYES” on its IMDb page.

This weekend, we shot in sub-freezing temperatures in the woods for Marx Pyle’s new film, “Silence of the Belle”.  It was fun but COLD!

Christmas was fun, New Years was fun.  My brother Garth was in town and it was good to hang out with him for a while.

Cousin Damon and newly dubbed “Cousin” Meredith were in for the holidays, too.  We’re now in discussions for a trip to the left coast to visit.

Angie, the kids and I went to Nashville for a baby vacation.  It was really nice to get out of town and just wander around a different place for a while.

I suppose I had more than I thought.  Happy New Year!
