Alan, a buddy at work, and I had the discussion recently about the movie Christmas Story, annoying me because it's starting to be perceived as "the movie of the season", instead of the classics, like Miracle on 34th Street or It's a Wonderful Life. Today, he told me that we were ahead of the curve, because that exact notion was the topic of an article in Time Magazine.
Maybe I'm too 'old' for my own good, but who thinks this recent movie even comes CLOSE to being in the same league as these classics. To me, Christmas Story is what you'd get if you let The Blue Collar Comedy Tour make a holiday movie. Why not put Jingle All The Way with Sinbad and Arnold Schwarzenegger up at the top of that list while you're at it?!?
Maybe I'm alone in this. Vote in my poll and let me know how you feel, please.
